Belief in the supernatural. What can I say? There are a lot things which are 'unexplained' towards, and by, modern science, and which in the past could easily be explained by the Bible, or the Wise Woman, and only a few could actually understand it. But consider the actual etymology of the word 'supernatural' - super being extra, or outside, natural. Even paranormal - out of the norm. But is it? Are faeries outside of nature? What of spirits, ghosts, wraiths, and witchcraft? Is it all outside the natural? Are they unnatural? I believe not.
Everything, in my eyes, IS natural. It was created, or evolved, or just was. The Gods are not supernatural, they are Divine. We are Divine, and hence the Divine is perfectly natural. By saying that faeries are 'supernatural' would be inaccurate, as would saying that telepathy is 'paranormal'.
So, many people would tell me, had I actually said such a thing, and say, 'but you believe in faeries. How can you NOT believe in the supernatural.' Quite easily. Because they exist! I know they exist. They aren't a part of a fiction, a misnomer of an over active imagination, or the ramblings of a drug addled hippie high on 'Life Man....'. I have seen Them. The Otherkin. So I know as such, that they can't be anything SUPER Natural, or I wouldn't have seen them.
There are lots of things, beings, abilities, deities, all number of things which people could define as supernatural. Vampires, Faeries, Witches, Warlocks, Telepathy, Empathy, Precognition, Premonition, Astral Projection, Pyrokinesis, Telekinesis, demons, angels and thousands of others. But they aren't! They are as natural as you or I, or rather to say, (as they were around before us), we are as natural as they are. Just depends on your perspective of 'natural' I suppose.
I don't really know what else to say. Except we are as natural as we feel. And as such we may feel disjointed, or out of connection with those almost divine beings, such as the Fae Folk, the Vampiric few, the Angelic and Demonic Orders, but trust me in this, open your eyes, and you will see more than you ever noticed or believed could exist. And you will know that you are an equal in your own right with them. Except werewolves. I don't believe in them.
This Witch, Sign's Out!
I could argue, from such an argument, that ACTUALLY, there is no natural beings, only super nature, and so, the only 'natural beings' as such would be the earth's fauna and flora, although considering the amount of magic they possess, it could be argued that they too are supernatural, and so we begin this cycle all over again.
