I personally am a Christian, but I am not Catholic. As I look at the Catholic Church from an outsider's view, I see how it is deteriorating from the inside out. Even though I am Christian, I don't believe in Catholicism. There are a few reasons why.
I will talk about the Pope, the priests, and Mary. Religion is a very important part of everyone's lives. Some don't even believe in God, some only like part of the bible. Some are so docile, that they would not survive an attack on themselves.
Christianity means believe in Christ, yet some are Christian, but don't believe that Christ is the messiah. Though I am Christian, I do not believe in all the different types of churches saying one is good and one is bad. I believe if you believe in Christ with all your heart, you will be saved. And sooner or later getting baptized.
First, people have to hear the Pope's message, just to understand what they are supposed to do. The Pope seems very old and weak. He says things, that even practicing Catholics don't agree with.
Second, many priests are charged with many assaults toward young boys. They are not allowed to marry, and this makes it difficult to find true love with a woman. Most Christians believe that marriage is a great gift God has bestowed on us. In the bible, God is represented as the Husband and His church, the bride. A religion that does not agree with marriage is probably making a big mistake.
I recently saw a television program in which a young Catholic priest went against his teachings and decided to get married. I agreed with him. It is so easy to see why many priests are convicted of crimes against children. What are they supposed to do? They can't get married or have a girlfriend. It's a recipe for disaster.
The Catholic religion seems unbearably conservative. I too have hard times as a Christian, and I refrain from a lot of things. But anything that comes between the relationship of me and the Lord Jesus, has to go. I also know that most Catholics believe in Mary, the mother of Jesus, but don't worship Jesus. In the bible it states that Mary was not saved by God because she had Jesus, she too had to be baptized to be saved. In conclusion, one can easily see that that religion has some loopholes in it. All I want to know is the truth.
