Christianity and Judaism: "Thou shall not steal" - Exodus 20:15
Islam: And eat up not one another's property unjustly (in any illegal way e.g. stealing, robbing, deceiving, etc.) - Noble Quran 2:188
Buddhism: "I will respect the property of others, I will not steal." (2nd percept)

Just note the above stance of some of the major religions on a universally unaccepted behaviour i.e. stealing. And if we were to analyse their positions on other socially unacceptable acts, such as murder and adultery, we would find similar warnings against such undesirable behaviour.

How can we then say one religion is better than another?

I believe all religions impart good values.

It is the practitioners of hate, bigotry and violence, and the zealots, that give some religions a bad name.

I believe this is a question that should not even be asked. What should be asked instead:
Which religion is true for you?
