How to make the world a better place.
Sooner or later everyone asks themselves... what is my purpose? why am I here? what was I meant to do? For many there is a longing to make the world a better place and to leave this world better than we found it. These are profound thoughts and can at times lead to frustrations in thinking we have not yet found our purpose and are not doing our part. By following some simple steps, one can continue to search for individual purpose while also contributing positively to the world.
Thoughts
Some believe in the power of pray while others believe that positive thoughts affect the world. Either way or whatever you chose to call it, I believe the result is the same. Every day we see situations that could be an opportunity to send forth positive energy. If you hear an ambulance, say a pray for the victims being tended. If you hear a fire engine say a prayer that all turns out well. If you do not pray, just give forth positive wishes.
Words
Words are powerful. I can always find something about everyone to compliment. I believe in sharing with everyone I meet. I never lie, but smile and say hello to almost everyone. If situated for a moment or two with someone, I can always find a reason to say something positive, such as noticing a beautiful blouse, or color of clothing. I even compliment someone walking toward me and in passing say -what a great color blouse, or tie. Never lie, but look for opportunities to honestly make others feel good. Some will reward you with a smile that says you made their day.
The Internet has opened a whole new world to meeting people and helping others. There are group support systems that you could visit and offer encouragement. This is especially effective if you have suffered from similar diseases, conditions or challenges.
Deeds
Never forget the good deeds that no one knows about are among the best. Think of the admiration we all have for the person who does good deeds and wants to remain anonymous. We can all do the same in many ways. Something simple as picking up trash off the street is worthwhile as is making a generous donation anonymously.
Never forget, we are all ONE in humanity and have influence on each other in our shared energy of consciousness. Have you ever entered a room where the mood is doom and gloom? Instead of going along you can replace the mood with your own positive feelings and thoughts. Make the world a better place and you will see that your personal world will become more enjoyable and meaningful.
