I woke up. I did not know what time it was. The ceiling fan was on, and the room was getting really cold. I was in my underwear, and the covers were not over me. I never sleep like this. Why would I leave the ceiling fan on? I then remembered that I did not have a ceiling fan in my room. So why was a fan above my bed? Why can I see it? I sleep on the bottom bed of a bunk bed; I should not be able to see the ceiling.
I tried to move but I couldn't. Something was terribly wrong. The fan began to steadily spin faster and faster. After a few seconds it started to sway side to side as if it was going to give away. It fell right on my chest, still attached to the ceiling by electrical wires. The fan had stopped moving.
Then the fan started to spin incredibly fast while it was on top of me. The blades were very strong, and apparently very sharp. Normal fan blades aren't strong or sharp enough to cut through the bones of a healthy person, these ones were. The blades of the fan were cutting right through my rib cage like a knife through butter, spraying blood all over my bedroom. I screamed as loud as I could, but the sound wasn't right. My screams sounded like the screams of a deaf man.
The pain was unbearable. I could feel parts of my body being cut into with every single rotation of the fan blade. It wasn't long before I passed out from the loss of blood, the last thing I remember seeing was the blood spray dying down while the fan blade tossed out what looked like a chunk of my intestines.
I occasionally suffer from sleep paralysis. This is when the body creates far too much of the chemical that allows you to sleep. Even when you should be awake you cannot wake up. When this happens I will wake up, but I will not be able to move for some time.
Sleep paralysis is a fairly common condition, but few people know about it. Many people who have sleep paralysis blame other things; it is thought to be the source of many alien abduction stories. A lot of supernatural phenomenons are believed to be the result of sleep paralysis.
When I have sleep paralysis it usually starts with a nightmare. Something absolutely horrifying, like the situation I just described. Eventually it will end, or I will realize it was a dream. I still won't be able to wake up.
