Homemade Halloween Costumes on a Budget

This Halloween people are looking for Halloween costumes on a budget. Following is a list of cheap Halloween costumes that anyone can wear and how to put them together. Some are funny, some are odd, and all of them are cheap or inexpensive.

Cheap Homemade Halloween Costumes

Cat/black panther - Almost everyone has black clothes. Wear the black clothing as part of the costume. If a hair band is accessible it will be easier to keep the cat ears on instead of attaching them directly to hair. Make ears with construction paper. Cut triangles out of black construction paper with smaller pink triangles to be the inside of the ear. Tape the ears to the hair band or crease the ears and tape them directly to the hair (or the head if bald) with clear tape. Last, but not least the costume needs a tail. Buy black fabric and make the tail between one foot and three feet long depending on the height of the wearer. Cut the strip approximately three to four inches wide the full-length. Sew up the sides and stuff it. Sew the top shut and pin it to the clothing.

Witch - Other than buying a witch costume for a dollar at the Dollar Tree, making a witch costume for Halloween is also inexpensive. If you have a black dress, wear it or anything black, with a witch hat. Don't have a witch hat, no problem. Use black construction paper to roll into a hat.

Princess - A princess costume can be found in special dresses. Most people have Christmas outfits or Easter outfits. These special occasion outfits can be turned into princess costumes. Add a construction paper hat with lace flowing from the center of the cardboard hat. Use construction paper that matches the dress and roll it into a hat. Tape or staple then, viola a hat. Use as much lace as you would like and tape one end around the inside of the hat. Any girl can be a princess.

Hobo/bum - Most people have old clothes lying around somewhere. Wear torn old jeans and stained, cut t-shirts for a hobo or a bum look.

Pig - A pig costume can be made strictly of construction paper and pink clothing. If the pig is small enough a onesie sleeper with feet can be used. The construction paper will be used to cut ears and tails. If a child will wear a taped nose or a nose held on with string, cut a circle that looks like a pig's nose and tape on tie it on.

Ghost/Toga - For a ghost or a Toga a sheet is needed. This should be an inexpensive costume. Thrift stores carry sheets for about fifty cents. Wrap the
