The ABC's of Halloween Costumes
An Astronaut
Yes, I think I would like that!
Or maybe a Bear
With brown fuzzy hair
A black Cat
Or maybe one in a hat
A Dinosaur
With a mighty load roar!
A big grey Elephant
With a super long trunk
Frankenstein's bride
With too tall hair
Godzilla sounds good
That'll give them a scare!
Harry Potter with
Glasses so round
An Iguana or lizard
With a long green tail
The Joker from batman
My face painted smiling
A Kangaroo
I'll say I escaped from the zoo
A Lightning bug
With a glow in the dark belly
A Mouse squeaking along
Carrying a wheel of cheese
A Nurse all in white
With a stethoscope
An Octopus
With 8 tentacles swaying
Patrick Star
From bikini bottom
A Queen bee all yellow and black
With a crown, wings, and stinger if I please
A Red Devil
With cape, horns, and pitch fork
A Scary mask
To make them scream in fright
A Tasmanian devil
My hair knotted and spiked
An Umbrella
Perfect, in case it decides to rain
A Vampire with sharp teeth
So cover your veins!
Where's Waldo?
Just look for horizontal red and white
An X-ray of a lady's tummy
Who ate her engagement ring
A Yo-yo round sides
And string in my middle
The Zebra from Madagascar
Just call me Marty
All of these things sound fine
For a Halloween party!

Poetry: Halloween
In the old cemetery Halloween night,
The low moon was full and bright,
But intermittently obscured by thin wispy clouds.
And
On old hollow eve he first was seen
Riding a black horse with sword in air
A figure draped in black, a frighting fiend
CEMETERY SCENE:
‘Twas late in the evening
One Halloween
When I happened
upon this scene
Being lowered into a grave
The other side of Halloween...
Autumn cast its pallet
over Summer's ripened fruit
as harvest bares the fields once more
by Jack Ivey
It’s late this night of Halloween
I’m lost and quite alone
Walking down an empty street
To find my way back
