I'm hard to know...I hide from the mirror,
from myself.
Cowering high in this lofty tower, afraid to be myself.
Wounded by slights and poisonous tongues, unsure if I can be myself.
The image in the mirror is so different from how I feel, a stranger to myself.
Will the stranger let me be me?
The question still goes unanswered.
