The Reason We Have Life

The reason we have life or the reason we are here on this earth? What is the question? I'll try to address both. First, the reason we have life is because we have a Creator that has given us life through His grace. Secondly, the reason we are here is to praise that same Creator and to bring glory to His name. We did not just happen out of nowhere like some tend to believe and they even try to convince others to agree with their ludicrous ideas and opinions.

We have life because there is a life giver that created every person on the face of the earth. He created us for His pleasure; for His glory; and for His purpose. Yes, He did create everyone. We sinned against our Creator therefore we are separated from Him. God is Holy; therefore, we can't stand in His presence because of our sin. Because of Adam and Eve's rebellion against God, the whole human race paid the price for that sin; which is death. The Bible says that the wages of sin is death; therefore those that have not been cleansed of their sin are the "walking dead"-if you will-they don't know God, yet. God did provide the perfect sacrifice for our sins long ago on an old rugged cross and His Son, Jesus Christ, was our sin bearer on that cross when He died in my place and in your place. He took our dirty sins upon Himself on that cross so that we wouldn't have to suffer for those very sins and be cast in a burning lake of fire that was never meant for us. Christ was perfect and that made Him the perfect sacrifice for our sins. His shed blood makes us clean and it also restores our relationship with our Creator-God the Father.

So, there are those that have acknowledged their sins and confessed their sins and placed their trust in Jesus Christ for salvation and there are those that either has not heard the Good News or they choose to reject the Good News. Those of us who have accepted Christ as Saviour have a purpose in this life and that purpose is to serve God and to tell others about His Son, Jesus Christ and what He did for them.

If we know Him then we will serve Him. We are just pilgrims passing through. This is not our permanent home.
