The struggle in finding that perfect job (while staying true to yourself)

What do you consider when the first time you apply for a new job, as a fresh graduate from college or a worker trying to find a new job. Every one will answer money!. Well isn't that obvious? But beside the need of more money in your head what else do you consider?. Is money ranked no 1 in your priority list? Maybe for some people money isn't everything, there is other factor for them to consider when deciding to look for a job.

Take me as an example, after graduate from college; I have no idea what kind of job that is suite for me, the idealist head of mine is only want work in manufacturing company, I don't know how much money will I get, I don't consider to much location of manufacturing company, I have no idea how my career will be in the future. It's all blank.

After working for six months then I start wondering how it feels to work in another sector, not other company with the same business sector. It took two year till I finally move to other field, this time oil and gas sector. Most of people would think this is awesome, high pay rate, good benefit. I start to think to settle down and enjoy the life.

After six year, I decided to look for another job, still within the same field. Do I get a bigger pay check this time?, No I don't. In fact, I got much less. Why would I want to do something like that?. Well there are reasons behind these, family and education is the main reason I left the previous company. I need to be close to my family which I can not do very often before.

So there are many reason for people to move from I job to another job. It's not all about the money. If it is always about the money, I am sure we will not see a variety of job right now. People will hunt for high pay rate job only and maybe there will be no social workers, there will be no teachers, there will be no nurses and so on.

Job satisfaction is also play an important role when some one chooses a job. Job satisfaction can be a good feeling you have when you know that some one is appreciate your job, or if you knew that your skill in a job contribute most to the company you work with, or if your work or job can make a difference to someone. Teachers for example, A real educator will not consider money above everything, some other factor excite them even more than money, it's the pleasure of educating people, transfer knowledge to their students.

To conclude the subject the perfect job for you. You have to really know what you want inside, what you love to do, combine with your needs (money, benefit, family, education, location) then you can conclude your best job. You definitely not get all that you want, but you can compromise them. Good luck finding your perfect job.
