Essays: Sin

by Anthony Brown

Created on: October 14, 2009

To be concerned about sin, and not care about God, is an oxymoron. By definition the word "sin" means "an act against God". So if your are worried about the moral of being wrong within the mentality of sin; then you are concerned about what the creator of the universe thinks of you. Not that there is anything wrong with this thought, it's just a mentality of accepting the truth of what you are feeling. Thus; like, an addict becomes aware of themselves as they become aware of their addiction. They are seeing their feeling with soberly eyes. To be concerned about sin and not be concerned about God is borderline personality of a schizophrenia

Why would I make such an enormous accusation? Well it's a matter of morals and principles. Let's examine the idea of legalizing guns in a person's home to protect the family. The fact that there are people who want to break into other people's house and rape the women of the house, kill the members of the home, or simple rob it for their own gratification is reality. The matter of rather the people who do this is sick emotionally or mentally or just crazy (sick spiritually) is not as crucial as the immediate problem of innocent lives becoming victimized. The right for a father, husband, or head of the household to protect his home in these cases of an emergency, such as a crime happening against his family is morally balanced. The crimes happen and the need or desire of protection is civilized. Now the matter of sin in this scenera actually does not appear until the personal ethic or value of the individuals heart is question. Is a man in sin for killing another man for entering his home vexatiously? If a crime happens whereby a child is molested, harmed or killed and a parent reacts in defense, is that parent required to forgive the perpetrator? Is that a sin that he or she may remain unforgiven towards the criminal for that act? And, if that is wrong, what measurement is used to established it is wrong? Why is it wrong? Is it because it does not appear righteous outwardly to another fellow human?

Let's picture anther example of the meaning of good and evil motive in one's heart. A teenager is curious and anxious and thirst for the need of attention and acceptance. A teenage girl whose body matured more rapidly than normal. A desire of womanhood approaches her aura at a young age. Another teenage boy, popular boy, an attractive young man, desirable boyfriend, potential husband and father approaches the teenage girl. A natural
