Paypal is undoubtedly the most popular way of handling your online monetary transactions. It's widely used money transfer services reaches over 190 countries worldwide, not counting the virtual transactions on other remaining countries. With your Paypal account, you can buy items from online stores, receive money for goods or services, or even donate to charities in just a few clicks.

The availability of these services vary from country to country, with the bank account and debit/credit card methods being the two basic ways of funding your Paypal account. The withdrawal of funds also vary for each country so its best to consult Paypal's Offerings Worldwide to see which methods are available to you. Most personal accounts have little or no fees charged with each Paypal transaction but make it a point to check for better or more afforable options in funding or withdrawing money through your account.

One way of using your Paypal account without a credit card is by using a debit card with either Visa or Mastercard. You can use this in place of a credit card and go through essentially the same process wherein Paypal gives you a verification code, charging your card a fee of USD$1.95 which will be returned to you after the verification process is completed. When you add a card to your profile, they'll be asking you to verify your account by entering your card number, then an option of either Visa or Mastercard and other details such as expiration dates and the Card Verification Number at the back of your existing card. Once they've confirmed your card, they will be charging you with a fee that contains the Paypal code which you will you need to enter for your account to be verified. If you had a credit card, this code will be reflected on your billing statement but since you're using a debit card, the process might be different depending on your local bank's policies.

Using Paypal Through A Bank Account

If your local bank is eligible for Paypal's services, you can use your existing bank account to link to your Paypal account. First, you have to go to their site at www.paypal.com and register accordingly. After you've registered, go to the Profile menu under My Account and click Add Bank Account.
