A million tears
Bring me to my knees
As weakness cheers
And help is deaf to my pleas
Failure shows no sympathy
When the pain comes down hard
With nothing but apathy
For every turn of a card
Dreading every day
For what might come tomorrow
Trying every way
To veer from the sorrow
Seconds are so long
And happiness so bleak
Where did I go wrong
To make me feel so weak
A million tears
Crash down on me
What all of my fears
Just took from me

Treating me like I was
by Daily Writer
shattered shells
scattered on the ground
