I press the phone to my ear,
Listening to your voice, aching to say something
To ask why, once more
But instead I hang up.
I'm standing on the edge,
About to jump, because my heart is breaking,
It's breaking so hard I think I want to fly
Or fall, either one.
The sun is rising now,
It's really quite wondrous,
Amazing in fact, the sun is still rising
Even though we broke up.
White diamonds glitter,
Mocking me, pulling me in,
Shrouding me in despair
Blinding me with their beauty.
I remember that day,
You were down on one knee,
Like a regular prince Charming,
Of course I said yes.
But then you went and crushed me,
You broke my heart and now I want to die,
And join you.
But instead, I'll call and listen to your voicemail again.
And pretend....
I'll pretend you are still alive.

Did I tell you back when I first met you, you were
as brilliant as a Christmas tree? To me, there was
no one in plain sight.
The Result of a Broken Heart
What is the result of a broken heart?
It is the aftermath of a tornado that tore a house
by Andy Craig
The final stretch?
Down a cobbled street with a crowded mind its a bumpy ride with answers I've yet to find. My mind is
All the tears I shed
Were a pointless waste
All you ever did was laugh
at all the pain you caused
Treating me like I was
by Daily Writer
shattered shells
scattered on the ground
