"Melting the Cold, Still Heart"
Staring inquisitive eyes seem to burn right thru
your senses.
Harsh defying voices climb your back
responsible action causes bewilderment to some
anger to others, silence or no reaction, heartbreak.
The cold, still heart suffers immensely, though great
agony often pleases some.
For warmth to escape is such a great effort, buy why ?
Even though I myself realize it too, still remain locked inside.
What it takes to open up is individual, maybe that's it.
Our own little world ceases to exist, but within.
A nice quiet place it is too. Maybe the best part
of living, most disturbing at times, yet quite satisfying.
To share inner feeling would seem to divulge all our
secrets. Yet this may be the key to unlocking the love
that's lacking.
Two people side by side for minutes, maybe hours, yet
neither break that loud, yet noiseless silence. Too proud
or shy, maybe. It's everyones' bound right to do so.
To walk, able to talk to someone I've never laid eyes
on. {Of course he's mad}.
Locked within shirts and ties doesn't help .
Feeling so superior in all your dazzling attire.
What makes us so cold inside sometimes freezing ?
So suspicious are we of everything said, not trusting,
not really knowing.
To go off daydreamng is wonderful.
After a while loneliness is tragic. To talk, to share,
to enjoy people and places, that what keeps you going.
How can you when they're so icy cold and
angry, mean and stealthily creeping about.
Or is it you ? It's you that always takes the first step.
To be friendly. Ha, so you say. How long after you're
silent for days do you take the step ?
Be warm, kind and unspecting, trusting.
You'll be taken for everything, but your
shoelaces.

Learn the chains that bind you,
And set yourself free.
Run from the chains that held you back,
And discover who you are.

A tiny hand thrust deep in mine,
Eyes upturned; trusting eyes, that shine
With tiny tears I brush away
And kiss,
A tangled web of deception
You wove knowing full well
The pain these lies would cause
When eventually the truth did tell
