Single snowflakes falling from the mist.
None alike. They fall together, yet each one's alone.
Life is a social event, and Christmas is the ball.
I am the lone snowflake stuck in mid fall.
I linger in the air, turning to ice, watching the rest.
They slide along each other and stick.
Forming pairs and parties, but I'll never fit.
A single snowflake that tickles your nose.
No others like me.
