Poetry: Today

I've grown today

This night a half moon passes by,
and but a few stars shine between,
the dark clouds clouding up the sky,
but none the less a treasured scene.

I find no answers forthcoming,
no hints of where I should go now,
I climb a hill I've not before,
so know not what's beyond the brow,

Not knowing does not frighten me,
as it once did some time ago,
I've got my boots my pen and pad,
and unrelenting muse for flow.

My journey's end must not concern,
this lithic heart with much to learn.
