The one that truly understands you. Your other half. That person that can understand every emotion, thought and feeling you have without the use of words. This may describe the ideal relationship to you, but may also sound unattainable. However, this can be achieved through a union with the right partner - your soul mate.

The term 'soul mate' may sound like something out of a fiction book, something that is only dared to be dreamed about. However, each of us has our 'other half' waiting for us to find them. He or she is out there right now, looking for you. Soul mates often spend many lifetimes with each other through various roles. Many people remark that there is often a sense of familiarity at first meeting. You may hit it off easily, and find that you have very similar beliefs and values. Through taking some initiative, you can easily help to draw your soul mate toward you and start your amazing relationship together.

The first, and most important, step is decide what an ideal relationship and partner is for you. Be specific as possible because in a way, you are creating your future partner and relationship. Writing it down helps to form a good idea so that you are not always changing your mental picture. Decide what you want your partner to look like, act like, sound like, how they will treat you and anything else that you can imagine. Visualize the perfect mate and how they will make you feel, and how you will reciprocate. Picture all of the activities and experiences you will be enjoying together. Be as creative and precise as possible. This is your future partner, make them as great as possible.

Once you have set your expectations for your soul mate, it is now time to reinforce it by visualizing and sending positive energy toward the situation. Start making your mate part of your life in your activities. Perhaps, when you are watching tv, imagine your mate sitting with you. Or imagine shopping together at the grocery store. By imagining your mate with you, the universe will realize that the physical void needs to be filled with the correct person. Think of the saying, "If you build it, they will come". If you create space in your life for your partner, that space will need to be filled.

Send positive thoughts toward your future situation. Also, send grateful thoughts for your happy relationship and partner. As you start to implement these steps in your life, and make space, see who appears to fill the gap. Keep your eyes and heart open. Most likely, when you least expect it, someone who you feel like you have known for years will walk into your world and sweep you off your feet. Keep smiling as you watch all your previous "imagined" activities start to unfold before your eyes.

Attracting your soul mate is a fun adventure and can be life changing. Make sure to be honest with yourself and your heart to keep aligned with your true intentions. Always keep an open heart and you will never be dishonest with your love. This is what both you and your soul mate deserve.
