Speed dating: Fun questions to ask a guy

Time Management - no longer does this apply to work and juggling the many pressures of family life. It has now crossed over into the world of dating. We all have extremely busy lives and the days of "courting" are a thing of the past. Many of us are not too keen on meeting someone at a bar. We want to meet someone in a fun and safe environment. The solution: speed dating. Where else can you meet 10 prospective partners in one night!

So, you sign up to meet 10 men in one evening. Now what? How much information can you get from one man in 10 minutes? You have to ask the right questions but make it fun! Here are just a few that will help you on your way....

1. If we had an argument, how would you settle it? This will give you some insight into his communication style. Does he shut down? Does he look for a compromise? Does he blow his top?

2. Why did you break up with your last partner? His answer will tell you how well he handles breakups. Does he speak badly of his last partner? Is he fairly neutral in his comments?

3. What is the most important thing you own? If he says his car....well, you know where you stand. An answer to this could tell you where his maturity level sits and how materialistic he is or is not!

4. What are you passionate about? If the first thing out his mouth is of a sexual note...you know why he is there. If you are okay with that, than you can start the process of hooking up with him. Is he passionate about life? family?

5. What motivates you? You want to try and find out if he has any sense of ambition - about work or life. This will help you to determine if he thinks the world owes him and he doesn't really have to do anything to get what he wants.

6. How much personal space do you need in a relationship? Now would be a good time to find out if he is a "clinger" or "cold fish". This question could help you to determine which one he is.

7. How important is chemistry to you? No this is not a question about high school science projects. Does he believe in love at first sight? If he feels a "spark" will he act on it?

8. What is your attitude toward work? If he has a good work ethic it will give you insight into his sense of responsibility.

9. If you decided to stay home for the evening what would you do? This question will help you to figure out what he does in his free time and maybe what he does to relax.

10. What dress style are you most comfortable with? Is he a jeans and t-shirt guy? Does he have to have his socks match his belt? This will help you determine how at ease he is in various social occasions - picnic, theatre, meeting the family.

Hopefully, these questions will make those 10 minutes insightful for you and lead to a life partner. Just remember to have fun and don't take any of it too seriously.
