Poetry: Living with bipolar disorder

by Meggg

Created on: October 11, 2009   Last Updated: October 12, 2009

Roller Coaster; day in and day out
Emotions; fly and soar
Roller Coaster; scream and shout
Emotions; drop to the floor

Speech; quick and slurred
Thoughts; slower than my internet
Speech; talking fast never occurred
Thoughts; racing so fast I get upset

Volume; can't hear a sound
Sleep; who even needs it?!
Volume; can be heard all around
Sleep; me + my bed = perfect fit

Manic: jumpy, anxious, fun, and upbeat
Depressive: slow bored, under-enthused, and sleepy
Manic: on task, happy, uplifting, and neat
Depressive: disengaged, anti-social, disinterested, and weepy.

Bipolar Disorder.
