People want to be liked by others; it's in our nature. Being liked by others is an admirable feat, but being liked by everyone is an impossible one. To have a good group of friends, and to be friendly with everyone is great. People like other people that are charismatic and fun. It's difficult to be nice and happy with someone who is sad or constantly upset. Being open and sharing personal experiences help others gain insight into your life and feel closer and more connected to you. Common events often bring people together, and generally create a feeling of empathy between the two.
Being liked by others has many aspects to it.
1: Compassion
Genuinely caring about others, doing things for the love of those that surround you. Being compassionate and caring will go far to prove to people how you are as a person. It shows a loving side of people who may seem rough, and an even more nurturing side of those who are already caregivers.
2: Listening Ability
Listening to what others have to say. Holding a conversation without interrupting and being attentive. Listening also helps you gain more knowledge about the person, enabling you to connect with them on a deeper level.
3: Charisma
Being happy and uplifting for others to be around is positive. People like other people who make them feel good about themselves. Having charisma and using your positive vibes to change the atmosphere of a place can be very useful.
4: Give Compliments
People like to feel good about them selves. You can help others feel fantastic about them selves by giving them compliments. Telling someone how pretty they look, how much you like their shoes or bag, or how their hair looks nice could brighten their day. People remember compliments they receive, and this could increase your likeability. Not only will they like you more, they may encourage their friends to like you more as well.
5: Smile
A smile is a powerful tool. A smile can go a long way in likeability. Smile at strangers, people in the hall at school or work, the cashier at the store, smile at everyone you can. A smile can light up someone's day; make them feel special because of you.
Being liked is admirable, and people should do what they can to be liked. Everyone wants the gratification of others, so work hard to make that dream a reality.
