Poetry: I dare you

by Jay O'Toole

Created on: October 10, 2009

This life is often just a game:
we work, we sleep, we eat!
I dare you now to take the blame,
Renew! Don't just repeat!

I Dare You now! Embrace The TRUTH,
that others quickly miss,
The Savior, taught you in your youth,
is worthy of your kiss!

I Dare You to confess your sin,
receive Salvation bought,
Forever blessed, your place did win,
The Savior Who Death fought!

I Dare You to believe that HE,
paid Hell on Cross one day,
HE died when lasting cost to me,
was spent in Shame's display!

I Dare You to believe HE laid,
full-wrapped in mollied spice,
attested contract's terms were paid,
The Deed was bought, Full-Price!

I Dare You to believe HE rose,
as man puts on a coat,
Mere Rock could no more yet oppose,
The WORD that God-Man wrote!

I Dare You to believe HE knocks,
insistent at your heart,
HE will not fit in human box,
but lives in you, New Start!
