Laying here smoking another cigarette
wishing I could rewind the time
Christmas is around the corner
wanting back that old life of mine
Never believe the grass is greener
on the other side of the street
Think I may go back to bed
and hide beneath the sheets
Cuddling up under my blankets
trying to keep warm
Listening to the weather outside
another winter storm
Have Christmas pass me by
and bring in the New Year
Take down all the lights
please no more Christmas cheer.
My belongings are gone
My decorations are on his tree
Another woman is hanging them
Last year that woman was me
Christmas is coming
with no one to hold near
No loved ones beside me
alone again I fear
So light me a cigarette
and turn on the t.v.
A chick flick and some chocolates
alone here with me

I'd like to have an old fashioned Christmas

Christmas time is here again,

Lonely Christmas
The curtains of life
Opened on me

In Afghanistan
A mistake of
Co ordinates
The night lands

Christmas melodies filing the air,
yet .....you will not be here.
