Is Iran's nuclear threat of any concern to us?

The question; "Is Iran's nuclear threat of any concern to us?" The quick answer; Of course Iran's nuclear threat would be a concern to us, "if" there was a nuclear threat.

There is a huge difference between saying and doing. When it comes to nuclear technology, to nuclear weaponry, to the means of delivery, to having or near to having, there is a world of potential difference and of potential consequence. There is a world of difference between the ranting and raving of a fanatically narrow minded outspoken National Leader obsessed with the destruction of those that oppose him or his way of thinking and the statesmanship or posturing of a Nation's Leader that values life, lives (even of those that disagree with his thinking or way of life).

Unfortunately, because of the potential castastrophic consequences of the use of nuclear weaponry, the development, the possession, the acquisition of nuclear weaponry by any Nation, especially one whose ranting and raving Leader has stated his desire for the annihilation of a neighbor and those of whom oppose his views, has to be merticuliously scrutinized, analyzed, and a course of action decided upon without delay.

Because of the potential devastation that can result from use of such weapons, as well as from the destruction of such weapons or the facilities used in their manufacture, diplomacy on a grand scale must be aggressively pursued at breakneck speed.

Diplomacy is based upon the words of man, if there is no truth or sincerity nor glimmer of hope for peaceful resolution, action must be taken. Action must be taken and the threat must be met, preemptively. It must be thorough and complete. Then the consequences must be dealt with, and assistance given.

Let there be no misunderstanding by anyone, it is not the people of Iran that are pursuing this insane path that will ultimately create unbelievable heartache and suffering by so many. It is their Leader and his fanatical following, that are putting the Iranian people at risk and in harm's way.

To those around the globe that say there is no danger that Iran will use nuclear technology for the destruction of a neighbor or enemy, you are wrong. Iran will use nuclear weaponry "as soon as it can get it's hands on it". Delivery systems? They aren't going to wait for missile development, they'll be creative and dispatch the weapons as soon as possible.

What makes the whole damn thing so sickening is that it's completely and absolutely unnecessary for Iran to have nuclear technology. They have unbelievable resources at their fingertips, and no shortage of brilliant minds within their own borders that could and would love to develop solar and wind technology for use by them and to market to neighbors in the region.

The people of Iran would have near limitless opportunity to lead the World in those fields of technology, ample means to better their lives, secure their futures, and be embraced by the World body.

I know which one I'd pick if I was Iranian.

Every person is significant and has a purpose. Let us celebrate that which is best about man, freedom to choose good over bad, right over wrong, to live in peace with our neighbor. So be it! Let us begin, shall we?
