It's not easy making enough money for that Saradomin or Zamorak armour, its a lot harder to make enough money for a Santa hat, and it seems near impossible to make enough money for that almighty Party hat. How do these players manage to buy such rare and extremely expensive items? In reality it is not very difficult if you choose the correct method of making money.
When you’re saving up for a set of Rune Armour for the first time its nice to start off small. Consider hill giants, they are relatively weak at only level twenty-eight combat, and have some very nice drops. To start with buy some good armor and a weapon, or a bow and ranging gear if you prefer. Also buy a brass key from the Grand Exchange. When you have all of these items go out through the south gate of the Grand Exchange and head west until you come to a little building. Use your brass key on the door and voila, it pops open. Go down the ladder and you will now be in a room full of hill giants. Kill these monsters until you get a full inventory of big bones, also pick up every limpwurt root they drop which can add a considerable bit to your loads.
After awhile you begin to desire for worthier foes compared to hill giants. Before you attempt to kill these monsters beware, they can hit hard and fast on you, they also have a very high defence level so make sure you have a good combat level. You will need at least full rune and a rune scimitar to kill these effectively. You should have completed the stronghold of payer safety minigame and you should bring a full inventory of food. Head off south of Edgeville and you will see a rift in the ground. Climb down and there will be three giant cockroach soldiers which are level 83. Kill these and pick up all the mithril and adamant ores they drop, the runes, and finally the rune scimitars and rune sq. shields they drop. If you have a high enough combat level these overgrown pests can reward you with hundreds of thousands of coins in loot every load.
Suppose you don't like combat? Well for those who prefer to chat with they're friends and lay back a bit while making money then fishing may just be your road to fame and riches. First, head off to Port Sarim, buy a lobster pot and bring along 30gp with you. Pay the customs' officer and head off to Karamja. Head south of the port there until you come to a banana plantation, head into the plantation eastwards and you will come to a dock with fishing spots. Start fishing lobsters, at least
