What ever happened to free enterprise? The government seems to be finding ways to regulate almost every part of our lives. Healthcare, automobile purchases, housing and now free enterprise. Pretty soon the great U.S.A. will be nothing more than another dictator led society. Once the Government gets full control of all aspects of our lives, we are screwed. Even though FDA regulations on dietary supplements doesn't seem like a conspiracy, it's only a start to something bigger. Therefore, the government should NOT regulate herbal remedies and/or natural supplements.

Regulating natural supplements and herbal remedies would be a start of lifestyle regulations. With free enterprise and consumer rights, citizens have a right to purchase what ever they want with an understanding of what they are purchasing. Something called "Buyer's Beware". As much as there are citizens on prescription drugs, there is an even bigger holistic community. U.S.A citizens recognize the chance they are taking purchasing dietary supplements, but yet toxic medications are nott required and more harmful to the body. What gives?

The U.S.A. government has now realized, the citizens are starting to perceive prescription drugs are toxic. Some argue overdoses while others argue human errors, either way people are refraining from these toxic pills. The government is now officially scared. Dietary supplements post nutrients/ingredients to labels while prescription drugs do not. When the citizens become enlightened, the revolt against the harm that was there all along. No longer are the masses betting their lives on toxic doctor prescribed prescription drugs, and now the government wants a cut of the herbal industry.

While the FDA approves many toxic prescription drugs, it seems they are trying to put a lid on the billion dollar dietary supplement industry. The companies who offer dietary supplements are direct competitors for the pharmaceutical big houses, backed by the FDA. With the information age in place, people are now able to be their own doctors. While HIV medications can cost up to $120,000.00 per person per year, many U.S.A citizens have decided to take the holistic approach with coconut oil or even Ozone treatments.

It does not stop with HIV, even high blood pressure patients have mentioned how garlic has helped their conditions tremendously. U.S.A citizens are becoming more aware of the products they purchase as well the the drugs they are 'required by doctors' to take. Spend some time working for LifeAlert or a Local Hospital, employees have expressed patients opinions of doctor ordered prescription drugs making them more sick. Let's not even start on the prescription drug commercials with the plethora of side effects.

As the citizens of the U.S.A allow the government to regulate their personal health purchases, they can also prepare for more and even lifestyle degrading regulations to come. Citizens of the U.S.A should no longer allow the government or big business to renege on the constitution as well as the rights of every citizen. This country was based on free enterprise and capitalism, as well as consumer choice. As the big conglomerates keep influencing laws and regulations that affect lesser free enterprise, monopolies will continue to run rapid. If Americans give away their choice to freely purchase, what's next? And as the saying goes... Buyer Beware!
