This year you are the one throwing a Halloween party. It is quite natural that you want your party to be among the best. In that case, here are some party tips that will bring your Halloween party among the top five, if not even in the first place.
What is a Halloween party without spooky and gloomy atmosphere? It is a quite easy task and here are the supplies you simply must have. The most recognizable Halloween symbol is Jack-O-Lantern, you simply cannot have a Halloween party without it. If you cannot afford to make a real pumpkin decoration, you can make it from paper, and hang it all over your house. To create a more daunting atmosphere place a candle behind it, so it would glow once the lights are turned off.
Next on your to-do list are the lights. If you are able to set up the lights correctly, you will recreate the true Halloween atmosphere. You need to get some dim or red lights, and cover everything in your surrounding with a black cloth. Another great idea is to set up a fluorescent light in a distant corner of your room. Since it will be quite dark, you can set up some rubber decorations, like small or pretty large spiders, you can place the fake spider's web in the corners, or those little balls that glow in the dark.
Since you managed to set up the fluorescent light, it's skeleton time. Get some of those fluorescent skeletons, and place them in the corners of the room. You might want to cover them with some white sheet, so when your guests arrive you can turn the fluorescent light on and scare them. At last, what is a spooky Halloween party without some dry ice? You can also create some Ghostly Jars, just get some incense sticks and place them inside the jar. A guaranteed success and it barely costs you anything.
Finally, you need to take care of the food. Not everything should be in the spirit of Halloween, given that people still need to eat. However, there are a couple of dishes exclusively Halloween. You can make Boogers on a Stick, with green cheese, a regular cheese that got the green color with the help of food coloration. Then some Vampire Blood Shake, which is plain yogurt, vanilla and frozen strawberries, or simply any red fruit mixed in blender. Some brain, made from cheese, and blueberry jello to serve as brain fluid, and a little jar of eyes, made from grapes with a raisin stuck at its side. If you are to watch movies on Halloween, you can always make some Bloody Popcorn, with some butter and chili powder on top. Quite simply use as much of the red colored spices you can find in your kitchen.
Happy Halloween!
