Disadvantages of high heeled shoes

Everything besides your top and bottoms is basically an accessory; and, the best and most noticed one? = shoes.

Think about it, what shoe would most certainly catch your eye? A pair of high heels of course. On a woman with a great outfit, they can prove to make their legs look like their best feature. They help you look sexy, classy, sensual, fun, sophisticated - and for the shorter women - taller.

Of course, not everything about high heels or high heeled shoes is great. Take a pair of high heels or high heeled boots, wear them long enough and you'll find yourself wishing the night was over 15 minutes into it. As you wear high heeled shoes more often, your feet get accustomed to the now bearable pain and you get used to sensual-feeling they give you as you learn to love all too-much.

But before you can get used to them, they can make any easy task seem almost impossible and just too painful to think about. The obvious one = Dancing. High heels and dancing sound like they go pretty well together, until you get to the party or club and have spent the last 2 hours dancing and looking at the clock. This is the reason most women, mostly teenagers, end up barefoot at parties.

On dates that you want to look your best and pull out the too-expensive, once-worn, sexy high heels from last year's new year's eve party, they can seem like inappropriate shoe to wear when your date surprises you to a walk around the mall before going in to see a movie. This one's the time where you spent the walk saying "shouldn't we go in now, I love the previews".

Picture this one: You were at a store one a day (in heels of course) and it was so packed that you had to park very far from the store, but you didn't mind because you found a nice shade and it was a nice day outside. You eventually leave the store and once you get almost to the back of the parking lot, it starts pouring. Not many high heels are non-slip. You try to run back to the store but you still get drenched.

You're going on a blind date. You wear your sexiest heels and go to the club and he meets you out front. You're surprised when he's looking UP at you all night. Awkward.

That's not all. Heels can break if you aren't too careful of where you're stepping. You can get them dirty easily walking around outside. You have to make sure your feet look nice. Other than your feet, your toenails should probably look nice even if you're NOT trying to impress anyone. You should worry about bringing extra shoes in case you break a strap or the heel or your feet hurt too much.

All these things CAN and HAVE happened; but if you're careful of most of this, and/or will be inside/sitting down/not walking/not dancing....you'll be fine. Don't let anything stop you from wearing them if you really want to; keep in mind, you'll look GOOD!
