The debate on whether Israel should stage a preemptive first strike against Iranian nuclear facilities

The subject is; "The debate on whether Israel should stage a preemptive first strike against Iranian nuclear facilities." If we were sitting around a table at an outdoor cafe' in the Mid-East having that debate, I'm positive the debate would quickly escalate in both the number of people participating and the tone of the language used.

If I, an American, asked if I could participate, I know many on either side would greet me politely but with extreme skepticism, and closed minds as to what I could possibly offer.

If we were sitting around a table at an outdoor cafe' in middle America having that debate, the debate could very easily attract a much smaller crowd, maintain a less passionate air, and possibly fizzle out before all points were made because other priorities called people away (afterall, it's so far away, it's their problem, won't matter to my day one way or another, who cares...).

Priorities. In a perfect environment, harmonious conditions, where food, clothing, shelter, and safety are assured, priorities are sometimes trivial in comparison to those of others in another place. Change the environment and the conditions, and see how fast the priorities become more similar.

History is such a good teacher because human nature has not changed; greed, love, power, wanting what you don't have, abusing what you do. Those who study history and learn their lessons well, are more likely not to repeat what was done wrong before. Those that fail to learn history, their history, are doomed to repeat it.

History has shown many peoples of the World being savagely, relentlessly attacked in attempts to rid them from being. The Jews finally learned that lesson well in World War II (over 6 million Jews were horribly treated, many tortured, all ultimately killed, denied living). From their ashes, their blood soaked tattered stinking clothes, their mountains of bashed and broken skulls and bones, the Jews still living learned their lessons well; NEVER AGAIN. NEVER AGAIN would they go passively into the night, would they give up their homes, their businesses, their culture, their heritage, their families, their fellow Jews, NEVER AGAIN!

To that pledge have they been true; every Jew is welcomed to a place where they can be who they are, how they are, Israel. Their strength is in their unity of purpose, to exist. The children are taught their lessons well, their history is not forgotten, NEVER AGAIN! Their word is true, and never to be forgotten by friend or foe. In the interest
