At the time it seemed like a tidal wave
Trying to push me too deep to be saved
The lifeguards were very poor at their jobs
Making small talk as my lungs became water logged
I can't remember how I made it to land
Coughing up water for the thirsty sand
I said "I'm never going outside again"
Mother earth has a taste for the blood of man
Many more have it worse than I
Just another reason to stay inside
But there is more than just danger gone
A safe man sings a lonely song
I think I saw the answer
In my grandfather's eyes
Every scar tells a story
And stories never flatline
Our bodies may stop working
But we will never die

Songs: Hope
FRESH
I once was innocent and clean
Before I learned my way,
Before I yearned for things between,
And then I turned away.

Hope
Is the beauty in my eyes for you my darling
Over the moon is the sunshine of warmth and love
That belongs in my
Hope, it's like a little light,
That shines inside your heart,
Keeping every thing in sight,
From becoming oh, so dark...
Her Name is Hope.
She came into this
World; right before
my eyes -
Her Mama was
my child;
Yeah, as the
crow

Who are you? You look kind of familiar
You can laugh, are you daft
You happy-go-lucky bastard?
What are you?
