Women, children and stress: Today's working women should not have kids

Today's working women should not have kids because children need and deserve their parents' attention. If both parents work outside of the home, the child is left in day care, home alone, or with a babysitter much too often. The kid feels neglected and unloved. When children are wanted so their parents can and will raise them right, they must seriously talk about only one of them having jobs outside of the home until the child grows up.

Consider the reasons you want to have children. Is it so you can answer affirmatively when asked if you have children and have pictures in your wallet and on your desk? Do you intend to love and cherish them, and not complain about having to miss work when they are sick or on school holidays that your office doesn't give days off work for?

As Dr. Laura says in her Parenthood by Proxybook, don't have them if you won't raise them. Adult women and men who are devoted to their careers should not also have children. Children need to know their family is the most important thing in their parents' lives, not just an irritating burden that seem to always force their parents to provide care taking for them.

For the sake of hypothetical future children, adults who spend so many hours at work that they would not even have a pet, for fear of neglecting it, definitely should not have children.

Very many people did not consider the choice for mothers to work outside of the home, which has been proclaimed by the Women's Liberation Movement since the 1960s, a choice. It eventually came to mean that everybody was expected to have a job outside of the home. It did not matter if they had children or not.

The results of numerous studies proving that children did not do at all well when they were on their own were not publicized or made known to the citizens of the U.S.A. Studies showing children thriving in day care were quoted extensively in the media.

Being ignored by his or her parents can make a child feel neglected and looking for love anywhere from anybody. That search may lead to them being members in a gang, committing crimes, or being victimized by of criminals, including pedophiles or other types who would seriously hurt the child.

Women who do decide to have children should raise those children themselves, not expecting day care centers or the government to do it for her.
