What do you hear when you turn on the radio?
When you turn on the radio what is the first thing you hear? Is it your favorite radio station, or announcer, a personal CD? Or is it something bad that makes you want to scan the other channels? When I listen to the radio it is usually a mixed bag, but a lot of times I end up shutting it off because nothing is on. There are a few stations that I occasionally listen to but others do not come in because of reception problems. When I listen to the radio and good a song comes on, I like I crank up the volume. I have a tendency to sing along, even if I do not know all the words. I enjoy listening to music by Jason Marz, the words are so sweet, sentimental, funny, romantic and whimsical. His music can be played and listened to by people of all age ranges so he has a wide audience. When I am in my car I sway my shoulders and tap my foot and start to chair dance. As I pass others I wonder if they too are chair dancing or if I am the only one? I know I am not the only one because often I can see people in their cars pounding the music and getting into the groove.
Another song comes on called, You Found Me, by the Fray and I feel that this song is about a man who finds himself alone. Although I do not know all the words the beat is good but the song is a little sad. He sings You Found Me, and you know that special woman that he missed has come back or a new one has replaced the old. The words of the music tell of this man who has gone through a struggle in his life. This song is a little bit darker but guys can tend to be a little dark when they are sad or upset. I know that sometimes they completely shut down and feel something but do not know how to put the words to that feeling. Men can express themselves through the music that they listen to, and sometimes that helps them to feel better.
Another song comes on the radio and I need to switch to another station because the tempo is too fast and I do not like techno music. I continue to flip through various channels and hear a sappy country song which is not my style. I continue through channels, but I am sad to say I had to go back to the one I started on because there was nothing on. Some of the stations almost came in, but the static was too noisy and I knew there must be something else on. I have not quite reached my destination which is the grocery store but I am almost there.
When I flipped back to the next station I started the laugh when I heard the Kanye West song
