What is entertainment? That is an excellent question. There are so many forms out there be it music, movies, television, the arts and so many more. Can a person really define what entertainment is since it is different things to different people.

Music is a great form of entertainment. It has been used to entertain royalty, set the mood or just get you through a rough time in your life. You can listen to music just to have some background noise or to lift your spirits. Going to the symphony can be a great way to spend an evening, and it may earn you some points with the Mrs.

There are more movies out there than you have time to watch them. I have always been a fan of a good horror movie, but only if it's dark and the volume is way up. My wife loves a good chick flick or comedy. Going to the movies is usually a good experience but if you are on a tight budget renting is a lot more affordable and offers the comfort of your own home.

Television has so many channels now how could you not find something of interest on? While some of you may fit into the reality show category that may not be for all. There are comedies, drama cop shows, talk shows and more. I personally like the learning channel or history channel. There is just something interesting to me about history, that and no one is forcing me to learn I can change the channel anytime I want.

There is so much the arts has to offer, be it ballet, or a museum, if learning is your cup of tea this may be the one. I for one like to look at art and wonder if the artist ever thought their work would be on display. I wonder if they thought they would become part of history. Museums also give you an opportunity to learn about things that may interest you.

There are also many sports activities that can offer hours of fun. Ride a bike, throw a ball around, but don't be satisfied with just one thing. Have some diversity in your life, spice it up. Invite some friends over for game night. All I know is there are plenty of ways to be entertained. There is no reason you should ever be bored if your willing to try new things.
