Your professional workday takes precedence when choosing clothing and it can work to your advantage for an evening. Accoutrements (accessories and decoration) will make you feel sexy whether you know of your plans in advance and just won't have time to make it home to change or you accept a spontaneous opportunity for fun. Some women catch eyes because of how they look with the right hair, the right body and the right clothes. If you feel you look good you gain confidence and confidence conveys sexiness.

When an evening out is planned choose a daytime classic perhaps a suit with a slim skirt or silky trousers. Think about your evening silhouette. How much skin to show? Or how best to accent a special feature? Monochromatic black or white are both always slimming and sexy.

When an evening out is a surprise you will always feel prepared if you always have a few accessories with you and can step into a phone booth (ok a ladies room is better) and transform into your sexy self. Think jewelry, sexy shoes, a sultry shirt, scarf or wrap and lingerie.

Jewelry including belts

Your signature knockout piece and show it off. Think chandelier earrings, chunky necklace, two or three long chains or a big cuff bracelet. By adding an accessory you wouldn't wear for work you instantly transform your look.

Sexy Shoes

Sparkle and be naughty. You can be comfortable if you choose two-inch kitten heels or really strut in four-inch stilettos. A little height makes you stand up straighter and tucks your booty and both signal sexy in a subtle way.

Sultry Shirt

You can change into or wear your favorite shirt under layers. What makes you feel sexy? Some options are strappy camisole, white tank top, black turtleneck, a shirt made of a sensual fabric like silk or lace or a twin set. Undo a couple extra buttons if all you have is a button down shirt.

Scarf or Wrap

Sheer luxury fabrics accent the shoulders or arms and can be used as a belt or provide a bit of warmth.

Lingerie

Even though naked can feel sexy; the idea of dressing up creates sizzle. Some women are happy to keep this a little secret; others change into silk stockings or show off a bustier or just a hint of a sexy bra. Remember to keep this a teas, not a hey, here's my underwear.

Hair

Long, luxurious hair is sexy and so are short sleek coiffures. A good haircut, a cared-for style and healthy, shiny hair are key. The best thing to do is speak with a hairstylist to discuss needs for easy-care, low-fuss hair that takes into consideration what look can be accomplished for hair type and still look sexy. Ask for suggestions for barrettes or hair jewelry and learn how to use them without taking up too much time.

Cosmetics

Lips and eyes are the key areas for evening focus. Darker colors, a little shimmer or perhaps a lighter color can all play up your kissability and oh-so-important interest in your companion.

Aromatherapy

After a long day of concentration you might want to use a mental pick-me-up. Check out the sensual scents like vanilla or jasmine or calming scents like citrus or lavender. Go to a store that specializes in natural scents and try out some options and choose lotion, fragrance or body smoothers.

THE Walk

Good posture is sexy. A woman who stands tall, sways her hips and wiggles her booty is sexy. She walks the walk and deserves the attention it gets. No matter what you wear, subtle is always sexier than in your face. Every woman has one feature she feels is best and just showing that off can be enough. Wear your attitude and the rest of your look will play along.
