Poetry: Confusion

by Donna Wesson

Created on: October 08, 2009

I want to twirl in the sand, but I think I need to sit and make a plan.

Someone said*you're to old to play in sand", and then I thought, maybe

I should get a man if I can. Then I thought I'm too young to get a man.

I want to twirl in the sand, but they say "don't play in sand, get yourself together and make a plan".

I do need to plan, but I can;t take a stand.A grand plan would help me

understand, why I can't twirl in the sand.I wanted to go east, then I

said, "Well, west might be best" North and South, up and down, stand or sit.

left or right, at this rate it could be all night.

I wanted to twirl in the sand then my mind led me astray and I started listening

to what others had to say. Now I don't know if I want to go or stay, play or pay

take a stand. make a plan.Where was I, should I begin again?
