Soul to Soul
When you brushed past me on the sidewalk
My soul recognized you.
I was drawn to you as no other. I have waited
Centuries to meet again.
The old pull of attraction, the longing of our lives, drawing me to you.
Don't you remember me? I wanted to cry out to you.
Don't you know who I am?
I am your soul mate, your love, a part of you.
I follow you in the coffee shop and look out from
Under my lashes as you order.
I want to reach and brush the hair out of your eyes, just
To feel you, my skin hungers for your touch.
You pay for your coffee and turn and see me.
Your forehead creases in a frown, and I see the question
In your eyes.
Don't I know you?
And I smile.

Long after our love had drowned

Aching For You
My body lies still longing for your touch
I try to move yet the pain is just too much
My eyes, fingers, lips
