Demon
A demon resides within my heart.
It has the same name as you.
Little by little, it tears apart
Things we used to do.
It keeps me awake as I watch you sleep.
It stirs as you move away.
The part of me that you always keep
Wants to make you stay.
With claw and fang it slowly rips
Apart the life we laid.
I kiss now empty lips
That forgot the love we made.

To teachers and parents
What

And another day dies, banished to memory
I slip into a world that used to be for dreams
