Poetry: Your absence

by March Claire

Created on: October 07, 2009

There's a gaping hole
That no one can fill
You left your mark everywhere
Every tear
Every rainy day
Every memory at all
You kill

Slowly but surely
I felt you floating away
And I held on tight
Not waiting for this day
And they all say "Let him go"
And I can't say I disagree
All I want is for him to be free
But I want him to be with me

Empty words
Comforting looks
A crowded hallway
This isn't happening
I move so slowly
This is happening

Fade through the crowd, my love
You left me
I'm well aware
