Backwards Love
Everything is backwards from my heart to my head.
Never started a relationship with going to bed.
Until a man came along and in the sky hung a new moon.
My heart fluttered and lust filled the room.
Guilt questioned my motives and morals disappeared.
The person I have been all my life erased in a mirror.
The power I feel from this man, will it last?
I feel the connection and question all in the past.
Life makes sense for me now all that I lived.
I feel his pain and want to erase and give.
Deep in his eyes I feel for him and awake from sins of my own.
Where I once wanted to run from may stay and call home.
The connection I feel, I know it feels real.
This backwards relationship, my heart he may steal.

THE RUSTIC STILE AT LANES END
At lanes end
The rustic stile
Stands sentinel still
Marking that special place
There doesn’t have to be a touch to feel
The pangs of love that gnaw inside my heart
There doesn’t have to be
by Allyn Smith
One day of our love
As the morning hour breaks through the window of the night
The sight that comes after dreaming and shadows
by Carol Gioia
Overwhelmed with joy
that you chose me,
as your traveling companion
on life's journey.
Climbing the mountains,
enjoying the
I blame you,
You blame me
Words fly
Tears prevail
Doors slam
And sarcasm sails
Take a walk
Stomp the floors
Plop
