Poetry: Carving pumpkins

by Neriza Oseguera

Created on: October 07, 2009

I have been hunting for the perfect pumpkin

Beautiful and big around

I have hunted for that pumpkin

I have finally found

Perfectly orange and smooth

The perfect notch on top

Perfect seams and grooves

Tomorrow will be the big day

First to cut the top

Then scoop the guts away

The perfect eyes and nose

Cut to the perfect size

Then comes the perfect smile

Oh my Jack O Lantern surprise!
