Moms are always on the go, and there never seem to be enough hours in the day, especially for self care. When you want to look perfectly groomed while raising your kids, and given that time for yourself is at a premium, the following tips will help you out.
How To Have Perfectly Groomed Hair While Raising Your Kids
* The key to perfectly groomed hair is in the cut. When you work with your hair's natural tendencies, you won't have to spend a lot of time and money for it to look good each day. Choose a professional salon hair dresser who will work with you to decide how to get the best cut and style for your busy life. Ask for ideas of wash and wear styles that require minimum fuss and few styling products to keep your hair looking its best. For special occasions, ask for alternate ways to wear the style you choose.
* Rather than a daily shampooing, many experts now recommend that you wash your hair less frequently, as it strips the hair and scalp of natural oils. This is definitely a time saver. To keep short hair fresh, just dampen it, apply a dab of your favorite styling product, finger comb it and go. For longer styles, a good brushing usually freshens it each morning, or a chic pony tail or chignon does the trick.
How To Have Perfectly Groomed Skin and Makeup While Raising Your Kids
* Whether you favor a morning shower or an evening bath, do take enough time to enjoy the process. Use soap or body washes that contain moisturizing properties. A sea sponge will keep you clean and ex-foliated at the same time, with no extra step needed. Apply your favorite body lotion or cream while skin is still damp.
* In the summer time, instead of shaving your legs daily, switch to every 2nd or 3rd day. Apply a soothing body lotion that contains sunscreen for daytime while your skin is still damp. Before going to bed each night, apply lotion again, but one without the sunscreen.
* Choose makeup that does triple or double duty, such as a tinted moisturizer that includes sunscreen. Top this off with a blush that can also serve as a natural looking eye shadow. A lip stain adds color and gloss at the same time. Skip the liner and go with just mascara or if you prefer, go bare-eyed. Save the full works for special occasions and evenings out.
* Carry a bag large enough to accommodate your make-up basics so they'll be handy for touch ups on the go. Include a travel sized packet of baby wipes for a quick and handy way to clean your face while out and about.
* Short or medium length
