FRANKIE ON THE WALL (a fly)

Frankie sits at the edge of the computer screen under the soft glow of its light. He holds an ice pack to his head and props his feet on a pillow. He sips a fruity cocktail with a sword of cherries.

FRANKIE (V.O.):My inconspicuous screenwriter friend, Clara, has had quite a week. Questioning her intentions and then ...

INT. A MINIVAN IN A PARKING LOT - DAY

Clara is the only person in the vehicle. Frankie perches at the edge of her laptop. He BUZZES his wings to the computer fan.

CLARA: A signal among these buildings. I have hit the jackpot Frankie.

Clara has a home page that is a picture of her three children. She begins to type away.

CLARA: The triumph of all these screenwriters connections has to pay off at some point. I shall be able to come into my own ... as they say. The work I'm doing is pure genius. Now I need to find a producer.

Clara finishes typing and SNAPS her computer shut. She turns on the radio and some love tunes BLARE out. This makes her eyes mist and she lets out a SOB.

EXT. INTERSECTION - DAY

The minivan stops at a red light. Through the windshield of the vehicle we can see Clara . She taps her fingers on the dashboard and watches a lady walk dogs across the street. The light turns green and a truck comes from the opposite street right at her.

INT. MINIVAN AT INTERSECTION - CONTINUOUS

Clara HUMS away at the love tunes. She admires the entourage of dogs in the pathway.

CLARA: Dogs. Frankie are you allergic to dogs?

Clara turns her head to see the truck coming right at her.

CLARA: Crap! At least I tried ... I deserve better than this.

EXT. INTERSECTION - MOMENTS LATER

Clara braces her head with her arms. Frankie flits out the window before the truck wraps itself around the minivan. Glass shatters all over the street. SIRENS can be heard as they speed on to the scene. The lady ties the dogs to the stoplight, as she rushes to the accident. Frankie perches above the dogs on the crosswalk sign.

FRANKIE (V.O.)Clara may have met her demise ... just when her career was taking off. Break the barriers of can't at every turn, because time is precious, and you never know when it's up.
