Facebook is the world's most popular website and it contains numerous well-liked applications and games. Mafia wars is one of the earlier added games and is a very popular one. Its popularity is partly due to the fact that it involves some mental skills and some cunning. Many games involve little skill and mainly involve sending things to other members, Mafia Wars is different to these in many ways. You have to buy and invest in items, you have to fight wars with other families, also of course you have to defend yourself from their attacks. Unlike certain other fighting games you don't have to be of similar size and ability to fight others, whatever your size you can attack or be attacked.

In order to defend yourself and to be more effective when attacking you need a mixture of soldiers and weapons. The outcome of your attacks will be based on the respective strengths of the opposing side As you go through the levels of the game you will be able to earn money to buy more and more weapons, you will also get weapons sent to you as well as picking up items when at a job. All items are worth taking and storing, as are all items gifted to you. Also look through the jobs you may attempt as they often show what you will pick up if you complete jobs.

You need to balance out the amount of money you have, compared to people, compared to weapons. The balance will then help you to win when you start fights and to survive when attacked. You need to improve your personal abilities, to promote all your top people and to make sure you have the weapons to support your team. When at a basic level try and keep enough weapons and bullet proof vests for one each. As you get more money and more members of your family then improve the weapons and try and have a stash of a few big weapons among the more basic items.

One trick to try is to look out for those who may attack and get there first to wear them down, also see who attacks you and see if revenge is wise. If they attack and win they may be back so watch them, if they attack and lose then keep an eye again because it means they think they can beat you but you are better. This could get more technical then you first thought but its a good game if you get into it.
