In today's world one would expect that fools and foolish behavior would be something that would be so preponderant in day to day life. Unfortunately this does not seem to be the case. Everyone has acted foolishly at some point in their lives, the way that we have dealt with it is what makes us better human beings, or, in the case that we don't succeed, fools.
Foolish behavior, or foolishness, may be caused by some conflict with a close relative, such as a mother or a father, or a sibling. One may think that by doing certain actions, or assuming a different attitude that one will become better than the one with whom the conflict occurred. Only seldom does this occur, for the majority of the cases end up in sadness, pain and sometimes disgrace, either for the "fool" or for the relatives. Another cause for foolish behavior may be failing to complete an objective, such as a college goal, work, or just personal goals. This may lead one to think that the way the things are being done is not the best, and thus a change occurs. Needless to say that one will be lucky if this change in attitude brings success, most of the times one ends up making a fool of oneself, since the attitude failed in a big way. For instance, a college student that has failed his final exams may consider that he failed because other people made him fail, and if this is the case, the most likely scenario is that this student will consider that what he did was right (even if he failed the exam due to lack of study), and that he failed because people wanted him to. What happens next is that this student will most likely act like he is always right, ignoring opinions, and studying less (if he studies at all). I have seen this happen and I can say with some level of certainty that when this happens, one ends up looking like a fool, if not worse.
Usually this is where fools go wrong, by assuming that what they do is always undeniably right, no matter what other people may say, no matter how obvious it is to everyone else around them. Someone who acts foolishly will never realize it by oneself; someone has to make them understand that they are wrong, and that they need to amend their ways. The issue is that this is not an easy task, for as I said before, one who acts foolishly will assume that what he's doing is always the correct path of action. This may even require some kind of expert intervention, namely to understand why this person acts so foolishly. This may be that he or she has a mental issue
