To be again
As I lumber through the darkened forest,
The winds howl, warning of the tempest.
The animals are silent, no sounds or cries to be heard.
The line between reality and fantasy blurred.
The smell of fresh rain penetrates my senses,
Here I am free, restrained by no man's fences.
My footsteps are quieted by the damp earth,
Here I will cast my circle, beginnings of my rebirth.
I call upon the Gods, to assist me in my plight,
To return to me, my stolen youth. Tis my birthright.
Once a maiden, now a crone, cursed and spat upon.
But never again. They will see, on the morrow's dawn
