From ghost to vampire
What will she decide?
We wait and enquire
Not ready to confide
Will our wishes be met
Through smiles or fright?
Avoid another debt,
And a possible fight?
Impatient, we must ask
Though always the same,
"Not sure I want a mask,
But how about a flame?"
We stare, suspicious
From such a request
Didn't want malicious,
Is it time to suggest?
Too old as a lion
Too young as an Eve
Confused and starts cryin'
Dries her tears with a sleeve
"Sweet child be whatever
Your heart's desire
And it will be clever
Your choice in attire

Halloween night evokes a distinct feeling,
vaguely serene blends itself with obscene.
Unseen screams reverberate off moonbeams.
Ghoulies and Goblins
And a ghost in a sheet
Meet one another out
There in the street.
Now here comes a witch
Riding
Moonlights edge rests on shoulders black,
Glowing masks lighting night shine bright,
Leering people pass causing fright,
Transformation,
once achieved,
if the guise is well-conceived,
let's the wearer of the costume
disappear.
