The touchstone

There is a saying in far Eastern myth about touchstone. It is a kind of stone that transforms everything into gold with its touch. A small piece of iron, rusted, left in a corner suddenly shines and catch everyone's eyes. Why? The touchstone had its action on it. Maybe we will not contradict with the idea that the history always whispers through a myth. They try to tell us something; not about Gods or Goddess, not about black magic. But metaphorically it has its own significance.

Now, consider a letter. A mere single letter; it's taking place before many known words and changing the meaning and perspective of the previous concepts. Guess what? That's `e'. The letter symbolizes a powerhouse that has potentials to change all the perspectives of thinking. The power of 'e' is now demonstrated everywhere.

The e touch

It's not necessary to give the detail definitions or descriptions here as it is widely known. Governance, agriculture, business, banking, books everything has got an 'e' tagged in front and became a whole new process. Like the mythical touchstone, the 'e- touch' changing a thing into more useful one.

Using the best of the 'e' has been thought by many think tanks, philosophers and policy makers. Fundamental rights were a vital issue to be considered. How can the improved technologies be used more for serving human rights? Along with many other important steps regarding this issue, a vital one is e-education.

What is the best way of touching

E-education offers education through on-line, multimedia usage, computer contents, cell phones, televisions and so other instruments. What is the most effective way? It can't be judged in a sentence. It depends upon the education matters. But if the question is, if you want to grow elementary knowledge among your target audience in low cost and design the education system in such way that knowledge do not get imperative but participatory, what is the best option? My research experiences proved that should be a computer program that is easy to learn, easy to produce contents with that, the easiest way to present interactivity and easier to upload on the web. So it narrows down the finding to 'Flash'.

Flash is relatively easy to learn and the more important point is that learning the program will give the kids experience of fun. For the pre primary sector it is difficult to make a participatory e learning process. But for the junior or secondary section it is not only possible but also is very useful.
