While there is strength in numbers, there is also the power of one. It is the kind of power that should never be underestimated. The strength in numbers emanate from the collective strengths of many "ones." The "many" will never be arrived at if there is no "one."An election maybe lost by one vote. A million will not be one without the inconsequential one cent. A smile will not be picture perfect when a tooth is missing. The least important word, according to some, which is "I" takes on a whole important meaning when we consider the power of one. It is only the "I", "me" and "myself" in each of us that is the source of this power. This is not "narcissism." No, far from it. It is only self encouragement. It comes from the fact that you know you are uniquely you. That there is no one like you in the world. There is nothing wrong with thinking you are important enough to do something important which only you can do, such as changing yourself, then, your world in the process, is there?

Indeed, it is better to light one little candle than to stumble in the dark and curse the darkness. The power of one lies within the only one person who can change your life and your world - YOU. Only you have the power to initiate the change you want to see in the world. No one else. No one else can do the "unique" things only the "unique" you can do. All you have to do is to decide what you are: are you a "unique" grain of sand or a "unique" small lighted candle?
The power of choice is yours...
