Whether you are just starting out or have been playing for a long time, you will have invariably noticed that money makes the world go round. In this case, gold makes the World Of Warcraft go round. Making money in WoW is not as hard as everyone makes it out to be, it merely requires common sense and a little bit of patience. To make money in WoW, I've come up with a few tips and tricks that i'm sure you'll find useful and enlightening.

Addons. These guys are some of the most helpful things that you can download for WoW. The great thing about these are that they are free and offer a variety of different things. From telling you whether something is overpriced on the Auction house to where to go to complete your next quest these tiny addons are a must. A good site to download addons is Curse.com. They offer a wide range of helpful addons and have arranged them into categories to help you find exactly what you are looking for. How do addons help you ask? Addons can remember places where you gathered resources and save them, showing you where to go to get them again (this is called Gatherer) they can also tell you where to go to complete quests and get that easy money (Questhelper). In addition addons like Auctioneer tell you when something is cheaper than seen before or if something is grossly over priced on the auction house, giving you an idea on when to buy something and when to let it pass.

Questing. At first this seems obvious, going around killing monsters and earring quest rewards and loot, however not many people realize that once you reach level cap these quests will offer you more money in lieu of experience. For this reason it can be very advantageous for a player to go to other zones in which they never quested, complete all the quests and gain the increased gold. Questhelper (addon) is adept at leading the player through the quest and shortening the time needed and getting you the profit faster.

Auction House. Again this seems fairly obvious, buy low sell high, whats there not to get? Why the deals of course! Using an addon such as Auctioneer you can search through the auction house for those items set at bargain prices, snatch them up, and resell them for a profit. Sound hard? It isn't, auctioneer does all the work for you, crunching the numbers and giving you raw percentages that you can use to determine if something is a steal or not.

Professions. Perhaps one of the richest sources of income in the entire game. Gathering professions like skinning, herbalism and mining make tons of money selling their high level materials on the auction house. How are professions so good? Well, for the most part professions don't cost all that much. In addition, if you start a profession when you are low level you will find the herbs, skins, and ore nodes scaling with you as you level, making leveling profitable and fun. Using addons like Gatherer allow you to see spots where the herbs and ore respawn, making a profitable circuit as you follow your map to see where the items are located. Once again, selling your raw materials on the auction house is made that much easier by auctioneer. Auctioneer can undercut your opponents making your sales look the best while at the same time bringing home a tidy sum to you.

When you are trying to make money it is essential that you DO NOT spend your money on frivolous goods, you can get those later. Make a goal and strive to achieve it, whether it be the 5000g for epic flying or the 1000g for a regular flying. Using these tips and utilizing the power of addons should make gathering money a much easier thing to do and more enjoyable.
