For your information, it is much easier and cheaper to buy a basket or a bucket, than it is to make any kind of Halloween candy basket or a Halloween candy bucket. Then again, a Halloween candy basket is a basket that is filled with various kinds of candy.

As an added touch you can glue on those items that are otherwise associated with Halloween. Not only that, you can easily draw or otherwise make black cats, witches, ghosts, pumpkins or some such creatures that scare people, or at least remind each of those people of Halloween.

Then again, candy corn, candy pumpkins and all kinds of other commercially made candy that is wrapped in a Halloween theme wrapper may also convey the fact that your candy basket or candy bucket was made for the express purpose of allowing visitors to help themselves to the candy contained within.

On the other hand, such a basket filled with candy is a convenient way to pass out treats to those young people who arrive at your door and expect a treat from you. More often than not, several children arrive at the same time, since they usually travel in groups for safety purposes.

Like it or not, you can only hold so much candy in your hand as you open the door. Therefore, your Halloween candy basket or Halloween candy bucket should be equipped with a handle or some such carrying strap. So too, most children have small hands so you can simply allow each child to help themselves. That is, to a limit of one or two pieces of candy.

You can also take part in the spirit of the occasion by dressing up like a witch or some such character for the Halloween celebration. As such, you can tell them that if they take too many pieces of candy you will put a curse on them. The point here is that you want to add to the enjoyment of trick or treating, not scare those young people out of their minds.

Children do remember and respect those adults who are kind to them. Some of them might also remember just how generous you are, given the fact that you allowed them to help themselves. So too, your Halloween candy basket or your Halloween candy bucket will forever remain within the hearts and the minds of those, or most of those, who do ring your bell and/or knock upon your door and will most certainly proclaim, "Trick or Treat!" Yes, however you pass out candy, you better believe that a Halloween candy basket or a Halloween candy bucket is the best way to do so. Make a basket or a bucket today. That is, if you have the time.
